has been selected for screening at the BBC British Short Film Festival 21st
- 28th September, Screen 2,
Empire Leicester Square. It has also been selected for the Raindance Film
Festival 13th - 26th October.

as an official entry for their 'be seen to be believed' event, 17th July at
Mr Young's Screening Theatre.
ALAN PARKER
Alan Parker was in attendance for the second screening of
at The Moving Picture Company
on 31st March. Parker enjoyed the film a great deal and complimented the producers
and director for all their hard work, 'It really showed on screen'.

Williamsburg and Brooklyn Film Festival, 10th
- 14th May 2000.
This is the first time the film will have been shown outside the UK and
is the only British film being represented there.
STORY
LAB'S FIRST SUCCESS
Eric Deacon's comedy, 'The Lodge' set around the world of hospital porters. 'The Lodge' was given the Story Lab treatment last year at BAFTA and proved a resounding success with the assembles audience. We are delighted that the BBC has commissioned a pilot and look forward to it becoming a long running series.

WRITING GOES FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH
Congratulations to
Writer /Director Eric Deacon
for his three part drama Relative Strangers, starring Oscar Winning
actress, Brenda Fricker. Made for RTE, the show has received widespread
critical acclaim and was watched by the equivalent of twelve million viewers
in Ireland. The producers hope to sell the programme to the ITV Network.
Blind Ambition, a two part drama starring Robson Green, also written
by Eric Deacon, is currently
filming in Australia and the UK. The story revolves around a blind runner
and his bid for Olympic Gold and is due on our screens in the run
up to this years' Sydney 2000 Games.

SCREENING LAUNCH PARTY SUCCESS
Nearly two hundred
people saw
when
held their premiere launch party at The Moving Picture Company in Wardour
St Surely one of Sohos finest screening facilities.
The event brought together a cross section of industry professionals, crew and celebrities. It was a fantastic evening and we couldn't have hoped for a better response said Sean Blowers (Producer). Seeing the film in its entirety on the big screen was something we had all waited so long for and on the night nobody was disappointed.
The Moving Picture Companys screening theatre is a first class venue and on the night the whole place was buzzing, in fact such was the demand, we ended up showing the film five times instead of the three that wed originally planned. We have received a great deal of interest and feel that another screening is definitely on the cards, we will do our best to make it happen'. Joy Mellins (Producer).
